FNRS Successful round for the STML!

Our PDR project "Understanding the progression from steatosis to hepatocellular carcinoma in obesity" was selected for funding by the FNRS!

In addition, we obtained a Large equipment grant to develop a Metabolic Core Facility at the ULB (Main Promoter: Esteban Gurzov) and to improve the animal facility (Main Promoter: Cedric Blanpain).

Israel Perez Chavez received a FRIA PhD scholarship to develop his joint ULB-VUB project “Profiling metabolic reprogramming in obesity-associated hepatocellular carcinoma with single-cell fluorescent-protein screening”.

We are delighted with the outcome and will celebrate it! Hard work pays off.
