Our new Gene Editing/Stem Cell Laboratory for metabolic diseases is ready!

Thanks to the support of the European Research Council (ERC), the Fonds National de la Recherche Scientifique (FNRS) and the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), the new Gene Editing/Stem Cell Laboratory was developed as part of the STML. The lab will focus on CRISPR editing of stem cells and differentiation in insulin-producing/responding cells to find better treatments for patients.

The new laboratory have a MedicCleanAir purification System, three full equiped laminar hoods, four Eppendorf CellXpert incubators, Luna Automated Cell Counter, EVOS Cell Imaging System, Neon Transfection System, Eppendorf centrifuge, bead bath, liquid pumps, and all required equipment for gene editing of stem cells and differentiation in metabolic cells.
